2/3 yards of stretch knit fabric for the body (48" wide minimum).  —This pattern can also be used as a swimsuit top with 4-way stretch swimsuit knit fabric.  *Note that the fabric needs to stretch for the neck opening to go over the child's head.*  Sewing machine (zigzag and straight stitch) or serger.
